This has been a long quest of mine — finding the perfect bedsheets. Have you ever crawled into bed where the sheets are pilling? That is one of my least favorite things (right up there with going to bed with dirty feet!).
When I was first married in 1991, my mother always told me that the higher the threadcount, the better the quality. As I’ve come to experience the world of bedsheets after being married to my high school sweetheart for 29 years, I don’t know if I can agree with that.
In my quest to find the perfect bedsheets, I have tried TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Home Goods, Pottery Barn, Sam’s Club, and even good ol’ Target.
During our family trip to Mexico last year right before COVID-19, we stayed at a resort that had the most amazing sheets and pillows I have ever used. Because of this, I knew they had to be found somewhere.
Because we’re in the middle of a pandemic, my online shopping has greatly increased. As one does, I simply Googled “Best Sheets” and Lands’ End popped up. Seeing as that was a place I hadn’t searched for bed sheets or towels before, I decided to check it out (and yes, towels are also a problem! We’ll get into that another day). After looking over their options and reading some reviews, here was what I found.
Supima Cotton No Iron Sateen Scallop Sheets – 400 Thread Count
Wow, talk about a dream come true. These are the most glorious sheets I’ve ever slept in — just like the hotel we stayed at in Mexico! Every day I’m reminded how much I love my bed because of these sheets. Even Mr. Gimpel is a fan! And just for fun, I had a G embroidered on the pillowcases.
Until next time, friends!
